Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

• Account data: email address, hashed password (we never store your password in plain text), and display name.
• Content you submit: fitment reports, build showcases, photos, comments, votes, and catalog requests.
• Uploaded images: photos you upload for build showcases or fitment report evidence, stored via our storage provider (Supabase).
• Basic technical data: request metadata (e.g. IP address) used only for rate-limiting abuse of submission forms — not used for tracking or advertising.

We don't use third-party advertising or analytics trackers, and we don't sell your data.

2. How we use it

• To operate your account (sign-in, password reset, role permissions).
• To display your public contributions (username, fitment reports, build showcases, votes/comments, contributor stats) to other visitors.
• To moderate submitted content and prevent abuse (spam/rate-limiting).
• To email you account-related messages (e.g. password reset) — we don't send marketing email.

3. Retailer/third-party data

Product price/stock data linked to retailers is gathered from those retailers' own publicly published web pages — it is not personal data about you. See our Data Sources page for details.

4. Your rights

You can update or delete your account content at any time while logged in. To request a full export or deletion of your account data, email Kieran@armoryindex.net. If you're in the UK/EU you have rights under GDPR (access, correction, deletion, portability, objection); if you're a California resident you have similar rights under the CCPA. We'll respond to verified requests within a reasonable time.

5. Cookies

We only use strictly necessary cookies required to keep you signed in (session/auth cookies) — no advertising or analytics cookies. Because these cookies are essential to the service you've requested (staying logged in), no cookie-consent banner is required for them under UK/EU rules.

6. Data storage & security

Account and content data is stored in our application database; uploaded images are stored via Supabase Storage. Passwords are hashed (never stored in plain text) and access to admin tooling is restricted by account role.

7. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time; material changes will update the "Last updated" date above.
